Description

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and creative Physiotherapist to work as the Team Leader within the Acute Physiotherapy Team in Centre Area of BCUHB and to work clinically on the vascular service.


This post will be responsible for the day to day management of the acute physiotherapy teams including orthopedic inpatients (YGC and Abergele), Respiratory (including Pulmonary Rehab), Adult medicine and Care of the elderly (Including EQ and Frailty Teams), Oncology (based in NWCTC) and Acute Stroke as well as the Neuro outpatient physiotherapy service.


The post-holder will be based in Glan Clwyd Hospital and will be expected to carry a clinical caseload within the vascular ward (leading the physiotherapy vascular service).


The post-holder will work alongside other team leaders and the management team to improve and develop Physiotherapy Services across the Centre Area.


As the team leader the post holder will support the physiotherapy management team by holding operational responsibility for their teams, including supervision, performance management, sickness absence management, staff appraisal, risk management and informal 'on the spot' resolution.


The post holder will hold a clinical case load, performing advanced clinical assessment of patients including those with highly complex presentations and from this formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan carried out as an autonomous practitioner.

Will have acquired specialist knowledge within clinical work area.

You will be supported in this role by the Senior Physiotherapy Management Team. Appropriate training and courses will be provided.

Please note this is a 7 day working post including contribution to the respiratory on-call rota.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
