Pastoral Lead - Head of Year
Do you have experience supporting children who have faced academic and social barriers.

Are you looking for a role where you can make a long-lasting impact on the lives of young people? This large secondary school requires a Pastoral Lead to provide support across Key Stage 4.

As a Pastoral Lead / Head of Year you will be focused on supporting the wellbeing of students, managing behaviours and providing pastoral support.


As a Pastoral Lead at this school you will be joining an established pastoral team, and will be working closely with the other Head of Year to ensure that the needs of students are met.

This role requires, patience, compassion, and an understanding that every child is different. Ideally you will have previous experience as a HOY or Pastoral Lead. Previous experience working with young people is essential. Asap start.

Job Role:

  • Providing behavioural support across Key Stage
  • Delivering 121 intervention sessions focused on improving behaviours and personal development
  • Effectively communicating with parents, carers and outside agencies
  • Working with a small team of experienced Pastoral Leads to provide outstanding support
  • Attending safeguarding meetings with the DSL and safeguarding team
  • Ensuring that students are supported effectively across Key Stage 4
