MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES OF JOB
Mobile network engineer required to implement new network installs alongside the service provider at various Council locations.

Process

Creates quality operational procedures for recoverability, availability, capacity and security management. Ensures they are documented and auditable in line with regulatory and business requirements.
Acts as a point of escalation for technical queries from other teams in ICT
Ensures that all documentation is written, maintained and executed to the highest standards.
Ensures the security of the ICT systems both physically and logically.

Performance

Works to agreed priorities
Works within and acts as a champion of the Council's ITIL Framework
Contributes ideas to support the development of team service plan

Essential:

A track record of delivering excellent customer service
Demonstrable, indepth understanding of security, Networking, VOIP and a broad understanding of IT Infrastructure
Strong understanding of some of the following
Network protocols
Switching and routing
Network security, IDS,IPS
Cisco networking products
Microsoft products windows server and domain products Citrix / VDI/ XenApp
Network management toolsets SCOM, SCORN, SCCM, SOLAR WINDS
