As a Domestic / Laundry Assistant at Neville House Care Home, you must have a sympathetic understanding of the needs of elderly people and their families.

At this time more than ever, our domestic / laundry assistants play a vital role in our infection prevention and control.

You will need to be reliable and physically fit.

Key Responsibilities:
-
Working as part of the team responsible for the thorough cleaning of the home, including the following:

the cleaning of all communal and private bathrooms and toilets,

- the cleaning of bedrooms, including vacuuming, wiping down of surfaces, watering plants, removal of papers and magazines (as required), etc,
- deep cleaning routines that will include taking down and rehanging of curtains, shampooing of carpets, removal of odours, etc.
- refilling paper towels, toilet rolls, and soup dispensers,
- cleaning of resident and staff kitchens, offices, corridors, and staircases,

Responsibility for the daily laundry which includes the residents' personal clothing, bedding, towels and kitchen items.
Periodic washing of curtains, bedspreads and cushions.
The daily laundry also includes ironing any item as required and in accordance with the garments care label.
Ensuring that all items are neatly folded and separated according to each resident.

- completion of cleaning records as required.

We need someone who is flexible in their approach and able to assist in laundry as required.

Pay rate will be in line with National Living Wage / National Minimum Wage
