Description

Role:

Duties are varied and as below:

Accounting Function
Sales Ledger

  • Raise monthly rent invoices and recharge invoices and any other adhoc sales invoices (no more than 20 invoices per month)

Purchase Ledger

  • Process purchase invoices received, ensuring authorisation has been given for every invoice
  • Keeping track of purchase orders to ensure accuracy to final invoice
  • Prepare purchase ledger payment run

Nominal Ledger

  • Ensure sales invoices, purchase invoices and bank transaction postings are up to date
  • Monthly bank reconciliations

Accounting:


  • Maintain shortterm cashflow forecast
  • Quarterly VAT return preparation/submission and payment
  • Maintain the partnership records at Companies House including submission of the annual Confirmation Statement
  • Preparation of financial year end accounts for submission to external accountants for audit
  • Preparation of annual (March) tax year end accounts for submission to external accountants
  • Checking the annual Partnership Self Assessment Tax Return (as prepared by the external accountants)

Ad-Hoc Tasks
Holbeach Buildings LLP - administration of this partnership too (smaller scale but same duties as above)

Anything and everything else which arises:
Insurance claims

HMRC investigations/queries

Business Rates

Rent reviews

Service account reconciliation/invoicing

Regular reconciliation of the Sundry Debtor account to ensure all recharges have been made

Point of contact with bankers:
Virgin Money and Rabobank

Annual budget preparation

Short-term/long-term cashflow forecasting

Chase outstanding payments as and when

Close contact with the partnership insurance brokers, including the preparation of the annual renewal documentation


Experience:


Accountancy background is an essential attribute but also:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Office space is provided with the ability to work from home following a successful probation period. Hours are flexible to suit.
