The Aspire Training Team are looking for an enthusiastic, and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 Child Care apprenticeship through an Apprenticeship with Winton Pre-School in Bournemouth.

Based at the Winton Baptist Church Hall on Cardigan Road in Winton, Bournemouth, the setting provides care to children aged 2 to 4 years.

They provide quality learning and development to the children in their care with the aim of having them move onto school with self and confidence, and regularly take them on walks and on day trips away from the setting.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take their first steps towards a career in childcare, joining a small team and working in a fantastic childcare setting while learning from qualified and experience childcare professionals.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

Organising different activities and encouraging children to participate
Interacting with children through play
Helping to set up and clear away at the end of the day
Preparing and serving snacks and aiding the children at meal times
Supporting with Children's personal care
Supporting nursery staff with various duties throughout the day
Ensuring the nursery is kept clean and tidy at all times
Ensuring the children are kept safe at all times
Assisting with checks around the nursery
Keeping up to date with coursework

This role is term time only, working around 25 to 30 hours per week. You must be able to gain a clear DBS, and have GCSE grades A*-C/4-9 in Maths and English Language (or equivalent i.e. functional skills).

If you do not have these grades you must be willing to work towards them as in the event you would like to progress onto a Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship these are required upon completion of the Level 3.
