Description
Outsourcing business with public sector customs requires a Procurement Compliance Specialist. Applicants need understanding / experience of public sector procurement - regulations, systems, processes, compliance, governance etc. Hybrid role.This is predominantly a remote role. The team meet in Bristol on average x2 p/month.
The Procurement Compliance Specialist will work within a Procurement Support function, ensuring that procurement colleagues have the correct tools/systems to perform their tasks, within a compliance and governance framework.
Specific duties of the Procurement Compliance Specialist include:
- Contribute to the development of procurement strategies
- Create best practice documents, policies, and controls around procurement activity
- Ensure Eprocurement tools and systems are being used to maximum effectiveness
- Serve as an SME on procurement policy and guide/train/mentor colleagues through procurement processes
- Contribute to the development of new processes/tools used by procurement
Procurement Compliance Specialists should meet the following criteria:
- A background in the public sector or a regulated industry
- utilities, defence etc.
- Skilled in either procurement, or governance and compliance
- Engaging personality ability to guide, mentor, influence
- Strong knowledge in E-Procurement tools, or business systems
- MRP/ERP etc.
- Comfortable with hybrid working the team work in Bristol x2 days p/month.
