The Law Practice
We are a law firm that specialises in different areas of law but predominantly conveyancing. We act for both private and corporate clients.


We have a relaxed and friendly environment; it is an open office plan with two solicitors occupying the work space at the moment with ambition to grow.

The room is a medium sized room with multiple desk spaces to choose from. The apprentice will be sat very close to the other members of staff.


Your role
The apprentice will assist us in providing an excellent service for our clients. The apprentice will gain valuable experience within a Solicitors office and be able develop as a paralegal.

This role will involve working in an office environment within a small team and assisting with day-to-day administration tasks. Applicants must have excellent administration skills and experience using Microsoft packages including Excel. This role requires high attention to detail and great communication skills. Full Training will be provided.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Filing of important physical documents as well as electronically
  • Answering the telephone and helping with basic client queries
  • Making sure relevant company information is kept up to date
  • Checking and ordering stationery, supplies etc when required
  • Data entry
  • Providing additional support to Directors and Management when required.

Desired skills
-
4-9 grades English and maths GCSE's:

  • Confident with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage reception in conjunction with other administration duties
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of ICT packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to demonstrate or gain a clear understanding of the firm's inhouse systems where training will be given
  • Excellent presentation, organisation and timekeeping skills
  • Awareness of confidentiality and safeguarding
  • The ability to use own initiative, be able to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Must be wellpresented with a clear, pleasant telephone manner
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good client care skills

Training to be provided

  • Level 3 in Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard
