We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Health Visitor to join the Children and Families Health Team in East Dunbartonshire HSCP.
Health Visiting is a diverse, satisfying and challenging role that involves working with children and their families to provide help, support and direction.
As a caseload manager you will be expected to provide a high quality, culturally sensitive, safe person centred and effective health visiting service in the community, whilst working in collaboration with partner agencies.
You will be responsible and accountable for the ongoing management of your caseload to ensure the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the universal health visiting pathway and additional programmes of care.
It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC and that you have a post registration qualification in Health Visiting/Public Health Nursing with evidence of continuing professional development.
- 1st Level Registration
- Postregistration qualification in Health Visiting/ Public Health Nursing and be registration on Part 3 of the NMC register
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- IT skills
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to work to challenging deadlines
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Leadership and management skills
- Problemsolving skills
- Full driving license
- Basic Training and Continuous Professional Development
- It is a requirement that the post holder successfully completes NHS GGC Induction and children and families specific induction. This includes training in the use of National Practice Model and EMIS system
- The post holder will be expected to undertake continuous professional development.
