We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking staff to join our team at the Central Main Kitchen Facility where all the meals for the hospital are produced.

Responsible for the distribution of food and other commodities to wards and departments within the Trust in a safe and hygienic manner, either manually or by using Trust vehicle.

This will include driving off site.

Responsible for the delivery and collection of food trolleys, baskets, bucket waste to and from wards and dining rooms across the Trust.

Responsible for the completion of all relevant paperwork regarding journeys made in Trust vehicles.

Take personal responsibility for ensuring all food hygiene regulations, including cleaning duties, are adhered to and documentation completed in accordance with Departmental procedures.

The Catering Department utilises the expertise of the caterers and the clinical experience of the Dietitians to ensure that patients receive high quality, appropriate and nutritionally adequate food.

The Department is also responsible for the food service to staff and visitors through its outlets in dining rooms, vending machines and delicatessen bars.

The Catering Department provides training in food hygiene to other health professionals within the Trust.
