An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Midwifery Support Worker to assist our Midwifery staff in the delivery of safe care to mothers and their babies.


This role will be based in the community so a full driving licence and access to a car is essential.

You will carry out a range of duties involving direct care as advised by the Midwifery staff.

This is a fixed term role until the end of March 2024


Midwifery Support Workers play a vital part in the provision of this care by supporting the midwives and providing direct care once training is complete.

This will include Maternal and Baby Observations, Phlebotomy, Breastfeeding support and advice, and being part of the team planning the ongoing care.


This role is essential to support women and their partners in providing all round care for their babies on the post natal ward and in the community setting.

All applicants for this role must have a NVQ level three qualification.
