We are looking for the right person to join our team


Poplar Ward is a 6 bedded Psychiatric Intensive Care unit for male service users, where we work to provide safe, caring environment that supports and promotes recovery.

As activity coordinator, you will responsible for running groups and activities with our patients that may be therapeutic, meaningful or even just fun


You will be part of the nursing team on PICU, supporting the day-to-day workings of the ward but will also have opportunities to engage with other professionals and in particular will have the support and guidance of the Cavell Centre's fantastic Occupational Therapy team.


We appreciate that knowledge and experience are extremely useful, but for this role your ability to connect and engage with people is where you will shine.

Implementing the planned timetable of activities is the aim, but you will be able to think on your feet work dynamically and adapt to what is going on and what our patients need; the CHIME model of recovery should influence all aspects of your work.
