Our client, a reputable international bank located in the heart of City of London, is looking for a
Head of Compliance & MLRO.

**[Key Responsibilities]
**(1)Responsibility for overseeing compliance within the bank and ensuring compliance with laws, regulatory requirements, policies, procedures and manuals

(2) Ensure that the company complies at all times, with the regulations as laid down by the FCA or the PRA, and to advise management of regulatory changes affecting the bank

(4) Identify Conduct regime staff, prepare annual certification documents and ensure that they are duly recorded within the FCA directory of persons

(5) Ensure all staffs are conversant with all compliance issues relating to the bank and that they have signed to that effect

(6) Monitor the Dealer and Settlement staff telephone and electronic communications

(7) Manage the screening of new recruits as part of the Conduct Regulations

(8) Ensure relevant client deposit account FATCA / CRS documentation

(9) Implement and monitor the day-to-day operation of the bank's Anti-Money Laundering policies

(10) Provide regular reports to the bank's senior management - usually, as part of the monthly Risk

(11) Management Committee and bi-annual AML & Sanctions Committee

(12) Identify changes to the legal and regulatory regime, including changes to FATF recommendations, the guidance issued by the Joint Money Laundering Steering Group (JMLSG) and OFAC, EU and HMT sanctions assessing their impact on the bank and making anyconsequent changes to the banks procedures. (13) Alert the RMC to any changes that may be relevant

(14) Investigate payment alerts that fall into OFAC queue

(15) Provide guidance and pro-active advisory support on rules and regulations relating to function/business/product/operational issues/client related matters, as well as provide transactional approvals and interpretation of internal compliance policies
- through effective communication and training

(16) Provide oversight in respect to the AML and Sanctions compliance programme including Know-Your-Customer, Sanctions Screening, Suspicious Activity Monitoring and Reporting, and Risk Assessment

(17) Formulate, maintain and update compliance related internal policies and procedures to ensure they comply with the regulatory requirements

(18) Enhance compliance culture within the bank, provide relevant training and regularupdates to all units to heighten staff's compliance and AML awareness

(19) Lead the Compliance team and nurture talents within the team in various Compliance/AML areas

Collaborate with other internal areas including:
Operations, Internal Audit, Middle office, and the Front office to address Compliance and AML issues which may impact the supported function/business/product/clients

(21) Identify and examine relevant key risk indicators in monitoring compliance risks offinancial and operational processes, performance compliance audits and proposeappropriate internal control systems and measures in line with the mandate for corporategovernanceand establish compliance review monitoring programme

(22) Ensure that all statutory reports and returns are provided to the FCA, PRA, Companies House, HMRC etc on an accurate and timely basis

(23) Provide strategic direction to the management team on compliance and AML

(24) Liaise with Head Office and various regulatory authorities in relation to compliance and AML matters

(25) Responsible for GDPR related policies and the bank's adherence to such policies

(26) Provide regulatory advisory for front office derivatives client business in terms of MiFID II and EMIR, etc


[Conditions]
(1)

Location:
City of London (Bank area)

  • This is an office based role.
(2)

Working hours: 8:30am~4:30pm

(3)

Annual leave: 23 working days in the first full calendar year and thereafter increased by one day per year into maximum of 28 working days (excluding 8 Bank/Public Holidays)

Basic salary:
Up to 140K (depending on experience)
