Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Board Secretary to join NHS Forth Valley.

This role will provide an excellent opportunity to help shape NHS Forth Valley corporate governance arrangements by leading on the continuous development and implementation of the Board's systems of corporate governance ensuring the Board acts within its legal authority and statutory powers.

You will be the lead source of advice to NHS Forth Valley in relation to the overall framework of corporate governance, sourcing of legal advice and ensuring effective support to the Board and committee structures.

The post will act as the key point of contact for all matters relating to Board business and will provide support to Board members and senior managers across NHS Forth Valley.

Accountable to the Head of Policy & Performance you will work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to embed professional, robust and consistent systems of corporate governance in line with the Blueprint for Good Governance.

You must be able to evidence a proven track record in the area of Corporate Governance or Policy.

You should display a clear understanding of relevant legislation and professional standards and you should be educated to Degree level or equivalent.
