Contract Position based at:
Gaydon / Hybrid working 2/3 days a week on site (this is not a fully remote role)


Rate:
up to £32.34/hr Ltd umbrella rate


We have a number of exciting new Scrum Master roles within a fast growing team.

This is an amazing opportunity for someone to join the automotive industry from other industries or recently leaving university
and develop there knowledgeand skills further.

You will be keen to learn and excited by the role you do

Position Description:


As a Scrum Master you will have responsibility to support the squad in preparation for the sprints and ensure any task that not completing on time have obstacles raised.


Essential Skills and Experience:


  • Understanding of Agile principles, value and the key roles is desirable. An understanding of how this differs from waterfall.
  • Understanding and/or experience of Scrum / Agile ways of working methodologies, focused on key concepts; working in cross functional selforganising team, coaching teams to enable delivery of incremental value in short feedback loops.


  • Communication

  • Must be able to engage within the cross functional agile teams at all levels in the business.
  • Good written IT skills and ability to facilitate administration of the Jira system.


  • Agnostic

  • Must be able to work within the selforganising team as an empowered representative of the chapter.
  • Comfortable to work within a lean hierarchy, operating at consistent work rate enabling the team to deliver.

Skills Preferred:


  • Use of Agile toolset is an advantage
  • Confluence, Jira & Lucid Spark are widely used within our squads to prepare plan and execute our engineering sprints within Vehicle programmes
  • Having knowledge of a Product Delivery system is beneficial.

Experience Preferred:


  • Experience of working in an Agile Methodology, Source control, either TFS or GIT, and some CI experience preferably Jenkins.
  • An individual with the ability to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style
  • Understanding of agile principles, value and the key roles is desirable.
  • An understanding of how this differs from waterfall.
  • Having knowledge of a Product Delivery system is beneficial.

Education Required:


  • Ideally qualified to degree level with the capability of learning fast and organising a Squad of 10 colleagues to deliver tasks within a sprint.
  • It would be an advantage to have worked in an Agile environment before and to have experience in the Scrum master role.
