Art Teaching Assistant

Qualiteach is working with a SEMH School who is looking to take on an Art Teaching Assistant in January on a full-time basis.

They are looking for someone who can provide support to their Art Teachers and help their students during their lessons.

This job willrequire you to help set up and tidy away all resources that are needed for each lesson.

You will also be required to assist 6-8 students during practical's, theory/coursework and discuss their ideas and give them inspiration.

All the students you will be supportingwill have some form of Social, Emotional or Mental Health Needs and some may have mild Autism.

Due to their needs, they will be working at different level and their behaviour will become challenging at times.

Therefore, the ideal Art Teaching Assistant musthave a keen interest in Art and be passionate about helping young people, be able to work as a team and be able to remain calm in challenging situations.


SEMH School

Located in the South London borough of Bromley, this SEMH School caters for 230 students aged between 11-18 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.

Their last Ofsted was in 2018, where they were awarded 'Good' in all areas.
