Hybrid - 2 per week - Denmark Hill Campus


Contract: 6 months FTC, £150 day rate

They are seeking an experienced web and intranet developer.


Job description

The School of Mental Health & Psychological Sciences, within the college are looking for a temporary website (KCL external site)/ intranet (Internal pages) developer to update the current school and department websites and creating school/department intranetpages (using KCL template).

There are 4 departments within the college.


Key responsibilities

  • To ensure that School and Department web content is up to date and appropriate for the intended audiences
  • To ensure that current page owners/ editors are adequately trained on how to update/maintain the sites.
  • To create and maintain the school intranet page ensuring it has the right content for our staff and students, including working links to relevant central information in HR, Finance, RMID (research administration) etc.
  • To liaise with Departments throughout the School for content generation.
  • The above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven track record of creating and delivering successful webpages
  • Experience of creating accessible content for the web
  • Excellent standard of written English and attention to detail
  • Experience of optimising content and working within branding guidelines
  • Experience of working with video and images
  • Knowledge and experience of using Content Management Systems to manage webpages.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with evidence of building good working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solutionfocused with ability to prioritise Experience of and commitment to Culture, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion principles in external and internal communications including inclusive language and imagery.
