Role:

The position has the responsibility to lead a production team to deliver manufacturing performance in accordance with business objectives.

This will be achieved through the day-to-day effective leadership of a multi-skilled production team in delivering the area OKR targets and striving for continual improvements.


The team leader will report to the Business Unit Manager for the area and will work closely with other team leaders across the factory.

They will be responsible for leading a team of operators and technicians to achieve operational outputs.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Lead, motivate and develop their team to ensure planned output requirements and quality standards are met whilst ensuring all Health & Safety guidelines are followed.
  • Review team performance regularly to identify areas for improvement and to encourage development and progress of team members
  • Achieve shift/team OKR targets e.g., for line efficiencies, material usage variances, absenteeism etc.
  • Ensure all sitespecific quality & housekeeping standards are achieved or exceeded.
  • Enable regular communication/briefing to own team and via daily production meetings as appropriate
  • Work in manufacturing as and when required and any carry out any other reasonable duties within skill set and experience

Desired criteria:


  • Previous Supervision experience in a relevant workrelated environment
  • IT Literate to intermediate levels
  • Excellent communication skills and good oral and written skills ability to engage effectively at all levels
  • Solid operating knowledge of all available equipment and processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate others in a production or project management environment.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO14001)
