Reed legal are supporting a Nottinghamshire local authority to recruit a part time interim Prosecutions Solicitor for a period at least 3-6 months, likely longer.

This role will be largely home based with occasional travel.

In this role you will be supporting the local trading standards team with enforcement and prosecutions in line with trading standards policy and local authority guidelines.

You may also occasionally have to attend court (rare) and depending on work load may also be involved in other local authority enforcements to support the legal services team.

To be considered for this role you will be a qualified solicitor or legal executive with experience in prosecutions, ideally with trading standards or related field.

Currently there is a requirement for between 15 and 20 hours per week which can be worked flexibly across days in order to suit.

This role could also be worked alongside another part time commitment.
