Description

We are looking for individuals interested in becoming Primary Care Mental Health Practitioners to work into the South Locality to include South Tyneside and Sunderland Primary Care Networks teams.

Our vision over forthcoming years is to continually and meaningfully improve the mental health and wellbeing of individuals across the whole pathway including Primary care and other Mental health providers as an overall joined up system.

These posts are Band 7 posts and would be employed by CNTW, working directly into Primary Care Networks to improve access to quality mental health assessments, support and interventions for individuals with low to moderately complex mental health needs and don't require secondary care interventions and support.

The successful applicants will be working within the Primary Care Multi-Disciplinary team and will be expected to build, develop and maintain strong networks and relationships across Primary Care Networks, and all partners whilst maintaining strong links with existing CNTW Services.

If you are a practitioner who can think creatively, has strong leadership skills and keen to support service development and experience for service users, whilst embedding excellent mental health practice into Primary Care Network's we would love to hear from you.

These posts are substantive but we would also consider offering a supported secondment to anyone who was interested.

This is a very exciting, diverse, and autonomous role, as such it will be vital to have positive working relationships with the primary and secondary care team, as well as third sector organisations.

We are looking for 2 B7 Mental Health Practitioners/Non-Medical Prescribers (NMP) (or working towards this) for the ADHD pathway, they will work directly into the GP surgeries and complete the ADHD medication reviews as per nice guidelines.

We will also have practitioners working into the LD and MH pathway respectively to be a step-down support for families and young people with time limited interventions at key times in a young person's life.

They will have extensive experience of working with children and young people within a mental health setting and who can work autonomously within GP practices and is also an effective team member.

We aim to attract and retain a diverse, talented and committed workforce, who are caring and compassionate, and therefore able to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and in the future.

In return we can offer a dynamic working environment in which to build a career.
