Our Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) is one of our service offerings; we act as an extension of our clients' recruitment team and provide professional interim and temporary resources.


Our client is a globally respected engineering organisation, providing white collar, Blue collar and engineering services to many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence.


On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for
30x Skilled Machinist on a 12-Month contract based within the Clients site in Derby.


Skilled Machinist Duties and Competencies:
-
You will have completed a recognised time-served apprenticeship, including City and Guilds NVQ 3 or equivalent
:


  • You will be able to demonstrate CNC machining experience.
  • You will be confident in interpreting engineering drawings for use with precision measuring equipment.
  • You will have knowledge of a wide range of inspection techniques including calibration, dimensional and visual inspection.
  • You will demonstrate a professional and flexible attitude with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
  • You will have an uptodate working knowledge of health and safety.
  • Able to work shifts.

The working schedule for this Skilled Machinist role is:


Monday to Friday on a variable 3-shift pattern (8-hour shifts, morning / afternoon / night)

or

Monday to Sunday on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern (12-hour shifts, days / nights)
