WHAT TO EXPECT


Want to be a part of the team defining software for the next generation of JLR Powertrain Control modules? As a Powertrain Software Lead Engineer you'll be responsible for leading the planning of development and delivery of propulsion software for the Powertrain/Transmission Control Module that supports our world class high performance ICE and electrified vehicles.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Software requirements definition to recognised standards
  • Managing these requirements from classification to cascade, and managing test case completion for delivery gateways
  • Working with inhouse software suppliers and network teams to create an integrated delivery plan
  • Working with the external suppliers to create and execute a delivery plan that meets stakeholders needs, programme costs and supports attribute maturity at programme milestones
  • Working with the Propulsion Group software manager to agree software costs and timing, and writing RFQ's in support of these supplier negotiations

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Capability of cross functional coordination and management.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Project Management of complex projects, interacting with diverse crossfunctional teams
  • Issue resolution methodology.
  • Delivery of Engineering and or analytical projects preferably within the automotive industry.
