Shooting Star Children's Hospices is your local children's hospice service supporting babies, children and young people with a life limiting condition and their families.

We depend on Volunteers to help us with our work and the charity could not survive without them.

Volunteer in our shop in Teddington and help us to raise funds and in turn we can help you to:

  • Get to know your local community
  • Meet new people and make friends
  • Build your confidence
  • Learn new skills
  • Gain valuable work experience to build your CV
  • Have fun
Your role will help the Manager run the shop:

  • Processing donations
  • Merchandising the stock
  • Customer service
  • Helping on the till
  • Steaming and pricing the clothes


Most volunteers come in for a weekly 3-4 hour shift but we can be flexible to suit your lifestyle and commitments.

The manager will offer you training and support.

All customers, staff and volunteers to wear face masks and observe social distancing. Hand sanitizer available and rigorous cleaning process in place. Screen in front of the till.
