Hybrid with some travel - Manchester/Hook/Kings Cross

Purpose of the role:
Role Accountabilities:
- Purchase vehicles from a number of platforms including direct from suppliers.
- Manage and mitigating the risk, accurately profile and price/value stock to ensure a profitable deal in line with Decision Intelligence recommendations.
- Build and manage relationships with suppliers.
- Look to find new suppliers of vehicles to purchase.
- Communicating all details of purchased vehicles to stock control.
- Support stock control when required.
- Attend and contribute to the weekly purchasing team meetings, and monthly departmental meetings.
- Manage and lead any adhoc projects assigned to you. Produce reports detailing the results of any said projects.
- A degree of flexible working is required to ensure the cover of purchasing platforms.
Relationships:
Will be required to articulate strategies at Director and Exec level to provide detailed analysis and recommendations to effect a change in the behaviour of the stakeholder(s).
Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience in the motor industry at a senior level (3+ years).
- Previous experience in automotive pricing / stock management / purchasing.
- Display strong analytical skills and able to provide proactive insights as well as recommendations for changes.
- Excellent written & oral communication skills, with an ability to interact with all levels of end users.
