We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and inspiring Theatre Charge Nurse to join our friendly and highly dedicated team.

Assumes responsibility for the management of clinical and support
activities and allocation of human resources to run the Main Theatre
provision efficiently and effectively to meet patient care needs

Co-ordinate staffing rosters to ensure appropriate and safe staffing
levels in all areas where Main Theatre staff operate

Assist in the management of the Main Theatre budget and ensure
appropriate stock levels are maintained

Identifies and manages resources, staff, instruments, equipment, stock
to assure an optimal workflow, and excellent patient outcomes in a
timely way

Communicates effectively with manager, clinicians regarding the changing status of the theatre/unit/department

Delivers expert patient care for the patient population and scope of the
service, and assures that all care givers within this area of
responsibility do the same.

  • Develop all staff to communicate effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team, patients and families.
  • Assist the Clinical Leads, Matron and Theatre Manager in the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of care, in conjunction with the unit's core values.
  • Ensure all staff has an understanding of their role and responsibilities and are able to provide a safe, efficient and cost effective service.
  • Ensure a holistic approach to care that is current, effective and research based is afforded to every patient, in accordance with Trust and Theatre Policies and Procedures, and in collaboration with all other disciplines.
