Description

We have an exciting opportunity within our team, we are looking for a passionate, organised, self-starter to join us as a Fundraising Co-ordinator, reporting to the Fundraising Team Leader.

This post will support the Fundraising team to deliver on key targets, to develop our very special charity.

As part of our team, you will be fundraising to enable us to support the expansion and enhancement of our existing services, as well as supporting our long-term goal of providing a specialist support centre in Aberdeen.


Role purpose
Support the Fundraising Team in delivering on key targets.


Responsibilities

Events_

  • Main contact and organiser of Charlie House events and thirdparty events as delegated by Team Lead
  • Coordinate Fundraising Events on the day including set up, briefings, etc. as required
  • Research, identify and organise UK and Global Challenges
  • Keep an accurate record of finances for all Fundraising Events
  • Work with Volunteer Coordinator to identify volunteer opportunities at events
  • Develop and maintain new and existing relationships with supporters through active engagement and encouragement
  • Assisting with the setup of promotional material/ information stands

Community_

  • Manage relationships with existing and potential Community donors
  • Plan and deliver set projects
  • Receive donations on behalf of Charlie House
  • Attend cheque presentations when appropriate
  • Organise and develop talks service to community groups
  • Work with Volunteer Coordinator to identify, nurture and develop "Friends" Groups in the community

Fundraising_

  • Assist the Fundraising Team Lead as and when required
  • Complete all Risk Assessments for assigned events
  • Promote "Gift Aid", "Payroll Giving" standing orders and legacies
  • Reviewing policies and procedures pertinent to role

General_

  • Ensure that the Code of Fundraising Practice is followed at all times
  • Ensure information is recorded and maintained in line with GDPR
  • Ensure Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed at all times, including Risk Assessments
  • Attending networking events representing Charlie House as required
  • Ensure all procedures are up to date and followed
  • Ensure that SalesForce is maintained and up to date

Desirable experience

  • Experience working in a similar role
  • Previous experience working within the third sector
  • Experience of public speaking

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Member of the Institute of Fundraising desirable but not essential.

Salary:
£23,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
