The Role:
You will provide professional insight and advice on pay and reward policies and practices within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, working collaboratively with HR colleagues, managers, and other stakeholders to contribute to achieving the objectives of the overall HR function.
As a specialist in job evaluation, you will use your expertise to ensure that posts are evaluated using either HAY Korn Ferry or GLPC Evaluation and in accordance with the Council's organisational design principles, pay policies, and good practice on equal pay.
You will be responsible for the job evaluation process and methodologies working with managers across all areas of the organisation.
You will lead on identified People Strategy related Projects within Pay and Reward engaging with contacts across HR and the wider council to ensure objectives are achieved.
Using knowledge of data, organisation structure and feedback from services to present ideas and suggestions for change to improve our policies and practices.
You will maintain up-to-date knowledge on matters that affect pay and reward in the Council, including case law and developments on equal pay and good practice.

About You:
In addition to your technical expertise, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will provide specialist advice and coaching to HR&OD colleagues and managers at all levels on pay and reward matters, helping them to develop their skills and capability and increase compliance.
Your experience could have been gained in either a pay and reward or generalist HR role.
You'll need significant experience of job evaluation and be trained in either or both of the Korn Ferry/Hay evaluation scheme and the local government job evaluation scheme GLPC.
