Linq Healthcare are proud to be working in partnership with an independent residential home for children and young people aged between 9 and 17 years old, who are now looking for a Qualified Care Worker to join their team.
The right person will hold a Level 3 in Residential Childcare, with current experience of working within a SEMH (social, emotional and mental health difficulties) setting.
You will naturally put children and young people at the heart of everything you do, with a passion for supporting the children to develop and to thrive, while most importantly, you will care about making a difference to young lives.
Option for night shifts for an extra £60 a shift.
Duties of the role:
- Provide tailored, child centred care which supports the children to develop independence and their own identity.
- Support them academically to achieve the right goals.
- Support their health and wellbeing while encouraging them to build on family relationships.
- Provide exciting and enjoyable experiences and opportunities for the children.
- Create a safe, nurturing environment in which our children can grow, develop, and achieve.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Qualified Care Worker with a Level 3 in Residential Care (essential)
- Current experience of working within a SEMH (social, emotional and mental health difficulties) setting.
- Actively committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its children and young people.
- Willing to engage in annual safeguarding training.
- Be always a model for both children and colleagues.
