An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Hospitals team as an Operations Lead.

Our Hospital services have been through a significant transformation which has resulted in improved operational standards and service delivery, this means we are now working on service expansion and new service developments to support our NHS partner trusts and the patients we serve.

About the role


As part of the Central Hospitals Team the Operations Lead role is key to the delivery of a variety of workstreams, you will lead and champion operational excellence and be a go-to expert for our sites across England you will play an integral role in our plans to open multiple new sites in the coming months, with a focus on supporting the development and understanding of Boots process's and procedures with store-based procurement specialists and pharmacy teams.


Day to day you will support our Hospital sites with all pharmacy stock related activity and you will share the accountability for the performance of our NHS sites ensuring all sites are run as effectively and efficiently as possible, minimising loss and maximising value.


You will support the monthly collation of all KPI data and insights from our Hospital sites, to monitor both performance and operating standards, working in partnership with the Hospitals Area Manager.

What you'll need to have

Knowledge of NHS systems in use for managing stock in a Hospital Pharmacy environment

Pharmacy background

Ability to build relationships and engage, both internally and externally

Excellent working knowledge of Excel

Full UK driving license

It would be great if you also have

Previous experience in an outpatient pharmacy setting

A dispenser, pharm Tech or ACT qualification
