Job overview


We are looking for a dynamic, hardworking and enthusiastic individual to work as administrative support to the Fracture Clinic management team.

The post is an essential part of reducing the administrative burden on our Sisters.


The main duty of the post will be to efficiently and effectively manage the administrative support to the Sister to ensure the smooth running of the department.


Desirable but not essential, that you are educated to NVQ level 3 in administration or equivalent qualification or experience and have comprehensive administrative/data management experience (preferably in an NHS setting or a busy office environment).


You will need to have excellent computer skills, proficient in the use of excel, word and outlook and be able to work using your own initiative and be flexible to meet the demands of our busy clinic.

You must also have excellent organisational skills, and the ability to juggle conflicting demands on time.

Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner along with the ability to use them effectively to work with staff, patients and carers is essential.

Main duties of the job

To support sister with all elements relating to the electronic roster - writing/amending/updating as required.

Completing all administrative paperwork relating to staffing (new starters/leavers/changes/appraisals/organsing IT access etc)

Booking staff onto training courses

Support with ordering items for Clinic using powergate/integra

Arrange meetings and update electronic diaries for senior management and send invites to all parties.

Taking notes in meetings -word processing of complex correspondence.

Using IT to produce templates and update existing documents

Organise and maintain filing systems

Keep clinic procedures files up to date

Undertake any other duties which may be reasonably required

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
