I am seeking an experienced
Product Manager from an
Electronic Securitybackground ideally residing in Essex or close to Essex as possible, for a long-standing client of mine who are an
Electronics/CCTV Distributor who are part of FTSE 250 company with a £1b turnover, they are also R118 and EN50155 accredited.

Currently 95% of current business is from within the Transportation Sector, they have TFL approval.

As the
Product Manageryou will report to Sales Director and will be
responsible for product planning, delivery, and marketing of the in-life product catalogue. You will sit somewhere in between Ops and Sales.

You will collaborate and deliver the vision and roadmap for the product based on input from internalstakeholders, customers, market research and their own industry insight.

You will
work closely with Development/Engineering and other teams such as Sales and Operations to deliver products that align with this vision, meet market needs and are delivered on time and to a consistently high-quality standard.

As
Product Manager you w
ill develop a forecast for the productbased on input from marketing, sales, market analysts and their own experience and manage its delivery.

You will identify the key benefits and value of products, this will be used to create and maintain marketing plans and collateral (including web updates, product training materials and sales training).

This is a
national role and will involve attending events and meeting with customers.

Salary Package:


  • Depending on what level you come in salary circa £50k/£55K plus company bonus.
  • Company car or car allowance.
  • 25 days holiday, plus BH company closure between Xmas and new year
  • Hybrid working arrangements if required.

About you:


  • An active Product Manager ideally residing in the Essex area or surrounds.
  • Have solid knowledge/background in Product Development of CCTV systems/technologies.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of CCTV and the technology landscape, and how to maximise the value that products can and will add.
  • Knowledge of
    technical product development principles and methodologies
  • Judgement to make sometimes difficult and complex decisions at pace, including comfortable dealing with ambiguous situations and help drive toward clarity.
  • Knowledge of CCTV technology solutions used across all industry including the Transport sector.
  • Data analysis and modelling using Excel.
  • Selfstarter that thrives on responsibility and ownership
  • Continuous improvement mentality
  • Great written and verbal communication skills

Your day to day:


  • Define the product strategy and roadmap/building roadmaps for new products.
-
Manage the product throughout its lifecycle from concept to end-of-life:

  • Collect, manage, and maintain traceability of requirements from all stakeholders across product releases.
  • You will analyse market trends, device trends, future trends etc and competitor positioning and build the product roadmap/vision.
  • Write the business case for investments and gain internal approval.
  • Write Product Requirements and Market Requirements documents.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and third parties to assess and establish partnerships.
  • Be the recognised expert in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology, and the competition.
  • Develop core positioning and messaging for the product.
  • Perform product demos to customers and develop relationships in key clients.
  • Product lead on agreed projects that deliver the agreed objectives.
  • Manage costs of products and work with sales channels on list price models
  • Monitor, report and improve product performance.
  • Run trials and develop and deliver go to market launch plans.
  • Sales channel management and support
  • Commission market and competitor research
  • Promote the product to sales teams through sales training sessions, webinars, newsletters, and other mechanisms.
  • Develop and deliver training to technical sales support.
  • Be a product knowledge expert for development projects.
  • Collate feedback from sales and customers, analyse and promote product improvement plans.
  • Represent the voice of the customer in senior level management meetings.
  • Evangelize the product internally and externally.
  • Be recognised as a leader in the business and build relations with business stakeholders.
