Are you looking for an exciting opportunity within the Housing Solutions Team?

The team are friendly, dynamic, and very supportive of one another whilst working collaboratively in a confidential environment.

The Dorset Council Housing Allocations Policy describes how social housing is available through our scheme.

Dorset Council maintains a housing register but does not have its own housing stock.

We work with social landlords (housing associations, community land trusts and alms houses) to support the aims of the scheme.

We offer a choice based lettings scheme which means applicants have choice about where they live. However, it prioritises those people in the most need of affordable housing.

There is a high demand for social housing in the area and we will balance providing choice and housing need.

Waiting times may vary and will be reported annually.

At Dorset Council, we prioritise investing in our employees' growth and development.

As part of our team, you will have access to a wide range of exciting opportunities to enhance your skills and advance your career.

Through continuous learning programs and collaboration with knowledgeable colleagues.

This post is full time and is fixed term for 12 months.

This position offers the flexibility of working in a hybrid way providing support based in the Dorchester Office as well as working from home, whilst maintaining a great team ethic with regular catch up and share knowledge and information, as well as using Microsoft Teams to communicate throughout the day providing a network of support within the Housing Register Assessment Team.
