Description

This job is based in Kilsyth working for a small family owned recycling company.

The Workshop Assistant will help the Engineer with any jobs he is carrying out that day. This will involve holding, lifting, carrying and preparing work.

The assistant will also be involved in other work between tasks including carrying, loading, sorting and storing goods, tidying and cleaning in the tool room, sweeping up and other vital housekeeping tasks around the site.

We need someone who is methodical and careful, has a good eye for detail, is a quick learner, is able to be flexible and take initiative / anticipate requirements, with enthusiasm and with a good work momentum.

The right person will be collaborative, able to work calmly under pressure, be flexible and have a positive 'can do' mind-set.

This is a full-time role, working hours 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

Job starts at £9.50 per hour but the right person who shows a good aptitude and attitude to work will be advanced quickly.

We are looking for a permanent team member.
