Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a highly regarded US law firm. They are seeking to hire a Risk & Compliance Lawyer on a full-time, permanent basis in their London office.

Typical responsibilities will include:

Monitoring the firm's systems and controls to ensure they comply with SRA requirements
Monitoring and implementing an appropriate risk register and process for monitoring risk in each practice area
Designing and implementing a compliance monitoring plan
Recommending enhancements to systems where necessary
Ensuring the firm is up to date with legislative and regulatory changes
Advising on AML/KYC issues which affect the firm
Assisting with lateral hire appointments
First point of contact for SRArelated queries
Delivering and developing training for fee earners on key compliance areas

Suitable applicants will have at least 2-3 years' experience in a Risk & Compliance role at a medium/large size law firm or financial services business.

A competitive salary and benefits package is on offer and hybrid working arrangements are in place (3 days per week in the office).
