We have an exciting opportunity as aHR Advisor covering maternity leave, for a period of up to 12 months. You will join our fantastic team at our Dairy in Bridgwater. The successful individual will support the business and our employees by supporting with a range of upcoming projects, as well as the sites wellbeing and engagement strategies. This role offers great exposure and will predominantly focus upon development, performance and succession planning so a passion for all things L&D will be crucial.
Your Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop a positive working environment, encouraging a proactive approach to people's wellbeing and leading upon local wellbeing initiatives
- Oversee the employee life cycle activities for all employees including assisting with talent acquisition, onboarding and offboarding.
- Work closely with the Site Trainer to ensure each role has a succession plan.
- Work closely with line managers to ensure all colleagues have a robust development plan.
- Support in the creation of career development pathways for all colleagues.
- Work with both the central and site teams to strengthen our onboarding, induction, recognition and retention activities and support associated projects
- Liaise with the ER Team and provide support as necessary on Employee Relations casework
- Maintain a positive working relationship with local Trade Union representatives
- Provide general day to day HR support on operational issues
- Supporting Group HR Projects/Initiatives as necessary
Skills and Experience
- CIPD qualified (Level 5) or higher (Desirable)
- Has a passion for L&D and enjoys leading on your own projects
- Ability to engage with and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience of operating in a HR generalist position, preferably within manufacturing or another fast paced industry
- A good understanding of UK employment law
- Experience of collaborative working across all functions and ability to communicate and influence at al levels
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work upon your own initiative as well as part of a team in an enthusiastic, proactive and positive manner
