The Payroll Specialist responsibilities will include:

Responsibility for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of weekly and/or monthly payroll calculations and transactions
Possessing a high level of payroll knowledge on statutory and company policies, procedures and Group Standards
Being responsible for the administration, coordination and management of the payroll function
Preparing and inputting data for monthly and weekly payroll in line with payroll deadlines.
Ensuring employee costs are charged accurately
Supporting the smooth running of payroll data between internal and external parties
Processing timesheets, pay rates and welfare benefits for all contractors
Supporting the Payroll Manager with the weekly and monthly end to end payroll processes
Processing employee expense claims
Providing support for Tax Year End activities

The Successful Applicant:

The Payroll Specialist will need to show:

Experience in Payroll position
Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including tax, pension and statutory payments
Experience in delivering end to end weekly and monthly payrolls
Knowledge and experience of Payroll systems #
Knowledge of Working Rule Agreements would be advantageous
Good excel skills for data management, analytics and reporting
Good analytical skills high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent problem solving skills
Good time management and strong organisation skills
Professionalism and initiative proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement
