The Payroll Specialist responsibilities will include:
- Responsibility for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of weekly and/or monthly payroll calculations and transactions
- Possessing a high level of payroll knowledge on statutory and company policies, procedures and Group Standards
- Being responsible for the administration, coordination and management of the payroll function
- Preparing and inputting data for monthly and weekly payroll in line with payroll deadlines.
- Ensuring employee costs are charged accurately
- Supporting the smooth running of payroll data between internal and external parties
- Processing timesheets, pay rates and welfare benefits for all contractors
- Supporting the Payroll Manager with the weekly and monthly end to end payroll processes
- Processing employee expense claims
- Providing support for Tax Year End activities
The Successful Applicant:
The Payroll Specialist will need to show:
- Experience in Payroll position
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including tax, pension and statutory payments
- Experience in delivering end to end weekly and monthly payrolls
- Knowledge and experience of Payroll systems #
- Knowledge of Working Rule Agreements would be advantageous
- Good excel skills for data management, analytics and reporting
- Good analytical skills high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Good time management and strong organisation skills
- Professionalism and initiative proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement
