Starting in September 2023, the two-year scheme will see the successful applicants undertake four six-month placements across a number of key disciplines, in different UK locations.


The scheme will provide the successful graduate a chance to cover a diverse range of areas, fundamental to understanding successful Project Management roles within Boeing.

We put an emphasis on learning in the workplace with live projects, working across multiple teams and location, supported by theoretical learning and support from colleagues and the Early Careers team.


Roles may include

  • Project or Programme Management support role either within a Programme Management Office/Portfolio Planning and Integration, the Integrated Planning and Scheduling or the Programme Management Function.
  • Project Manager on customer and/or internal projects
  • Enterprise wide Program Management solution developing
  • Developing and delivering new customer propositions

Responsibilities

  • Delivering projects and programmes utilising program management best practice
  • Supporting the integration of projects and programs across all capabilities
  • Creating tools and metrics that deliver industry leading performance for our airline customers
  • Supporting the creation and delivery of structured business strategies and plans
  • Working with our Business Development team to identify and deliver new business opportunities and solutions.
  • Support the project management of new business startups by creating and managing implementation plans.
  • Identifying process improvements to effect cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Running turnkey project to completion (with option to run over two rotations with formal handover)

Typical Activities

  • Generating a business case and benefits tracking
  • Documenting requirements, deliverables and success criteria
  • Developing a Work Breakdown Structure, Organisation Breakdown Structure and/or a Responsibility Assignment Matrix.
  • Undertaking resource planning and developing project schedules
  • Gaining approvals through the standard gated process
  • Monitoring projects through execution against schedule, cost and quality
  • Undertaking change, stakeholder and customer management
  • Risk, issue and opportunity management
  • Lessons learned, 'After Action' reviews and Project closure.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):


  • Qualified to degree level in business studies, project management, finance or similar
  • Confidence or willingness to present and host meetings
  • Strong problemsolving skills, with the ability to discuss ideas and concepts with stakeholders of all levels.
  • To have forward thinking mindset and selfmotivated
  • Effective communication skills

Essential
Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):


  • The ability to obtain UK Security Clearance is essential
