Absolute Industrial Recruitment are currently recruiting for a
Warehouse Team Leader on behalf of our clients based in
Erdington, Birmingham.

The
Warehouse Team Leader will be responsible for supervising and motivating a team on a daily basis and will be the first point of contact for all team members.

The
Warehouse Team Leader will be expected to lead by good example and engage the team to achieve goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading a team of warehouse operatives ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
Allocating resources to maximise efficiency within the department
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager with any issues that may affect timely running of the department.
Ensuring that health and safety and welfare of colleagues is maintained
Ensuring good levels of housekeeping are maintained throughout department
Ensuring that all operational procedures are undertaken to the relevant timescales
Making sure that any absences are reported to the warehouse manager and a return to work in completed on the first day back to work
Accident reporting to Management
Ensuring the department operates at its optimum levels taking into account holidays and absences
Being aware of department performance, reporting and communicating data
Reporting any defects
Liaising with other departments to maximise operations
Carrying out any further reasonable duties deemed appropriate to the needs of the business

Key Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a warehouse environment.
Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
An eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
A strong work ethic and a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
