Image Data Group are a family run business with sites in Howden, Hull & Brighton, operating at the forefront of marketing communications, providing print solutions/products since 1989.

We deliver innovative visual communications for the UKs leading retailers & corporations from banners, tension-fabric light boxes to presentation brochure packs & office stationary.

The General Labourer/Operative role is based on site in Howden (DN14) & is a key role within our business.

You will create & maintain the positive relationships within the business ensuring complete the daily tasks to keep on top of site cleaning, maintenance/H&S & general labouring tasks.

Your hours of work are 37.5hrs per week working Monday to Friday, 8am until 4pm but we do ask for flexibility during busier periods to meet business demand.

Main Function:


  • To perform necessary tasks in order to maintain standards of cleanliness and tidiness throughout the site.

Key Performance Tasks:


  • Routinely empty all paper bins as required.
  • Ensure that the waste is segregated and placed into the correct skips.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the production area including, factory exterior and surrounding area, by cleaning regularly.
  • Assist other personnel in their tasks as requested, in order to ensure targets and deadlines are met.
  • Ensure that all waste is recycled wherever possible.
  • To ensure all surplus materials are returned to the warehouse in order to keep the production areas organised and tidy.
  • Use the fork truck to empty the waste bins into the large skips if you hold the relevant fork truck licence.
  • It is the responsibility of all employees to comply with Health and Safety Legislation and Company Policy. This involves maintaining safe working conditions (including equipment), drawing attention to hazards and to taking reasonable care of themselves and others. Employees must ensure that all necessary safety devices and protective equipment are used and comply with the Health & Safety Policy.
  • Perform other duties that reasonably correspond to the general requirements of the post and are appropriate with its level of responsibility in order to contribute to the success of the Company.
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality and Security Policies and Procedures (see attached documents).

Performance Indicators / Targets:


  • Methodical and adaptable approach to tasks.
  • Maintain a high standard for general cleanliness / tidiness of all production areas.
  • Ensure health & safety is of paramount importance when driving the fork truck.
  • To be receptive to cross train in other areas of the business as directed by your Supervisor.
  • To uphold the imageData Group values by being customer focused, service driven, innovative, collaborative, flexible, enterprising and accountable.

Skills:


  • Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with an ability to work as part of a team to meet tight deadlines.
  • A willingness to develop new skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to rapidly changing work priorities with ability to work under pressure.
  • A helpful and cooperative attitude.
  • A full UK driving license (desirable not essential)
  • A current Counterbalance/Reach fork truck licence would be advantageous.
