A privately owned business in the South East is recruiting for a Project Manager for civil engineering projects up to £10m, namely in marine.
The business has 3 successful offices across the South Coast specialising in projects for local authorities andprivate clients to construct bespoke footbridges, jetties, port expansions and general civils work in a marine environment.
The business self-deliver a lot of the work so experience of this would be favourable as well as having an engineering background and minimum of HNC Civil Engineering qualification.
They have a very professional approach to the projects with site standards on par with tier one contractors, they are commercially astute and tend to work with NEC contracts and are always open to hear ideas on how to improve right the way through the business.
Project Manager duties include:
- Management of the commercial team with site change control and ensuring all cost, value and change control is captured in line with the contract.
- Management of subcontractors and site personnel
- Ensure the correct RAMS, Construction Phase Plans and H&S documentation are in place prior to work commencing
- Develop and manage the programme to ensure that critical deadlines and budgets are met
- Demonstrate value engineering throughout the delivery
- Manage documentation for quality assurance and Health and Safety files
- Chair monthly progress meetings with clients and stakeholders
- Ensure timely and profitable delivery of projects in your remit
- Manage a team of Site Agents, Sub Agents and Engineers
