Hudson River Trading (HRT) is hiring an Events Specialist to join our People Operations (People Ops) team in London People Ops is responsible for the well-being and performance of all HRTers across our global offices.

From recruiting to onboarding to the continued engagement and development of our employees, the People Ops team is dedicated to creating an authentic, inclusive environment that upholds our company values and drives the business forward.

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to bring office culture to life through experiences
  • Fully own hightouch team events, including team retreats, regionwide outings and trips, and impromptu communitybuilding events for London employees
  • Support our Dublin office, US, and APAC regions as needed

Profile

  • You are an event planner at heart, and also a community leader who can listen, learn, and bring out the best in those around you
  • You build energy and enthusiasm through highlyeffective communication
  • You are excited to host the events you plan
  • You have experience planning multiday day offsite meetings, retreats, and/or trips for large groups of people
  • You are a confident individual contributor who can work both autonomously and collaboratively

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with strategic event planning
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to project manage your own workload and quickly reprioritize tasks as needed
  • Strong decisionmaking skills
  • Extensive experience in medium to largescale planning production with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience in rooming list management and complex transportation management
  • Experience researching, negotiating, and working with external vendors
  • Comfortable operating in fluid and openended problem spaces
  • Skilled at turning creative visions into reality
  • Experience working on crossfunctional projects with many collaborators and stakeholders
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours/days to support company events
  • Ability to travel as needed to support company events
  • Ability to work from the office at least three times a week what better way to engage with your community
