I am working with a business in food sustainability industry to recruit a Head of Operational Support.

The role will be a mix of field based across the north of England as well as at head office in Greater Manchester.

This is a newly created role which will support the business to drive growth, efficiencies and improvements in delivery of it's service.

You will be hands on with a confident and positive outlook with the ability to develop new ideas for best practice, training and development.

Key duties:

Day to day management of everyday operations, from checking all cash recs completed to ensuring all regions adopting best practice from health and safety, to food safety, to team building.
Support the delivery of our services in all regions, establishing great relationships with our service delivery teams.
Help us develop a positive and supporting learning culture
Help grow our impact by increasing the support we can give our customers and partners.
Supporting the smooth running of our warehouses.
Ensure an evidence led approach to recording operations
Ensure effective management of the regional facilities and fleet
On the road across the North and Midlands 35 days a week.
Retail or hospitality management experience
A willingness to get stuck in and lead by example, sleeves rolled up when needed
Experience in leading and developing successful teams
Experience in improving business performance and forecasting
Entrepreneurship and ownership with the ability to think creatively and make good operationally sound decisions as a result
Confidence in managing conflicting priorities
Confident with IT and mobile technology
Strong communication skills
Full manual driving licence
Ability to react quickly and positively to changing priorities
Ability to travel across the UK including some overnight stays

The salary is circa £60,000 plus car/car allowance and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

You should be able to commute to the head office in Greater Manchester as required and be able to be based in the field - 5 days per week
