Accounts Assistant.

Contract:
Part time Permanent
Hours: 21 over 3 days - To be discussed at interview
Salary:
£11.00/hr - Pension Scheme - 5 Weeks holidays (pro rata)
PURPOSE
- The position is an accounts administrative post at the Second Chance Day Centre. The Centre provides therapy, rehabilitation and a safe social space for adults with brain Injuries, and you will have contact with adults who exhibit the associated symptoms and effects of their injuries.
- To provide a range of accounts administration and clerical duties to support the staff and members at Second Chance.
TYPICAL MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proficient using Sage 50 and Microsoft Office 36
- Data input for Sales and Purchase Ledger using Sage 50.
- Inputting data on Invoices using Office 365. Producing and issuing monthly Invoices.
- Liaise with other organisations regarding invoicing and payment for managed members and accounts.
- Check new member information. Record details regarding invoices and any instructions eg attendance, travel, financial management etc.
- Liaise with the clinical staff to get attendance information.
- Follow up clinical staff for more involved information regarding members for credit control and administration.
- End of month procedures, E.G. send reminders to clinical staff re invoices. Where necessary send a draft invoice for clinical staff to fill in.
- Adhere to instructions from Local authorities regarding financial procedures.
- Liaise with payroll bureau and supply
- Maintain HR records.
- Credit control, payments and debt administration.
- Purchase Ledger, data input and payments.
OTHER DUTIES
- To assist at reception answering calls, taking and delivering messages, meeting and greeting.
- To assist members with communication and liaison with a broad range of organisations and to assist members in representing themselves as individuals.
- Maintain strict confidentiality across a personal and organisational level.
- Work as a member of the team, contributing to the team ethos and supporting service users and colleagues appropriately
- To maintain a safe environment at the rehabilitation centre.
- To complete written records as necessary.
- To attend, participate and contribute to, staff meetings, reviews, person focused meetings, training and supervision sessions as requested.
- To be aware of the need for confidentiality, ensuring that information regarding service users is only discussed with the appropriate people.
- Foster good relationships with volunteers.
GENERAL
- Take part in appropriate training.
- Be aware of all policies and procedures in place at the charity.
- During the course of your work the job holder will conduct them self in a professional manner at all times, acting as a role model to colleagues and contributing to the delivery of quality services.
- Undertake any reasonable duties for the charity as required by your manager.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
- Three years accounts and data input experience.
- Demonstrable proficiency with Sage 50 and Office 36
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Good skills with PC and Internet access and online systems.
- Good spoken and written English language.

- A verified CV covering the required administrational and organisational skills for the position.
