MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Repairs Surveyor to join a Housing Association to cover a geographical patch of London & South East.

My client is looking for someone who has experience within a similar role.

This role will be a remote based position and will include flexible working.

This will be a full time permanent position paying £47,000p/a £1875 Car Allowance plus benefits.

Main Purpose Of The Job:

To provide a comprehensive Surveying resource for the Assets Department, covering all aspects of Responsive Repairs including disrepair, mutual exchanges, and some major work.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

To inspect housing stock and building works, prepare specifications; compile tender/contract documentation to deliver repairs works.
Work within authorised budgets and to agreed quality standards.
To excel in customer care provision.
Assist all colleagues and contractors in order to achieve top quartile performance in all aspects of maintenance services.
Limit risk to the organisation through working knowledge of legislation risk management.
Carry out pre and post inspections utilising the protimeter and appropriate electronic inspection software.
Specify, authorise and manage works to completion.
Work with contractors to utilise the budget for maintenance effectively.
Project manage customer requests.
Work with the Administration Team to organise workloads and effectively manage communication.
Collate evidence to manage contractor performance.
Manage complaints and disrepair from contract inception to completion.
Build relationships with customers and agencies.
Comply with the Group Health & Safety Policy, ensuring own and others health and safety; including H & S audits of contractors.
Be available as PA Housing's Duty Officer to cover out of hours.
Complete post inspection of work orders completed of the responsive repairs term partnering contractors on a monthly basis to assist in ensuring that works have been carried out to the correct quality and standard along with ensuring PA Housing gain VfM on its contracts.
Carry out Health and safety Audits a month to ensure that our contractors are compliant with on site Health and safety standards.
Carry out Mutual Exchange inspections to ensure that new customer home is safe and compliant
Carry out pre inspections of repairs that cannot be diagnosed by telephone.
Provide technical support and advise to repairs advisors and administrators.
Progress, manage and communicate to all internal and external customers in relation to complaints, MP enquiries, EHO compliant and Legal disrepairs.
