An excellent opportunity for a highly experienced Butcher to join one of the market leaders in the food industry.


THE BUTCHER

  • Breaking down carcasses into primary and secondary cuts
  • Processing meat using knives, cleavers, saws, and other equipment
  • Preparing cuts for weighing, packing, and sale or further processing
  • Displaying cuts at the meat counter and selling cuts to the general public
  • Ensuring work areas are clean and compliant with all food safety and hygiene standards
  • Reporting in a direct line to the Head Butcher, the role encompasses all facets of butchery.
  • You will be engaging, smart and able to converse with and advise customers where necessary.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Previous experience of working at a similar level and have good butchery/ knife skills
  • Can work unsupervised
  • Ability to operate within a fastpaced environment
  • Hands on approach
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good communicator
  • Commercial awareness
  • Self motivated with a proactive approach
  • Reliable, tolerant and determined to get the right result
