Head of Development - Manchester - Salary up to £140k DOE
A UK leading retail company is on the lookout for a Head of Development.

This role would be ideally suited for Lead/ Senior Developers looking to take the next step up the ladder into a maagerial role while maintaining a strong technical skillset to be hands-on when required.


As the Head of Development, you will have the opportunity to lead on key projects, including new builds, platforms migrations, CRO and maintenance support.

You will be expected to have a strong background in back end development.

Front end capability would also be ideal as this role includes the aspect of line managing a team of developers - with back end and front-end focus.


Additional key requirements for this role include:

  • Java / HTML / JavaScript / CSS / PHP / MySQL
  • Experience with PHP, SQL & MySQL
  • Experienced in migrating Magento stores from 1.9 to 2.0 is highly desirable
  • Proactively resolving any issues and adapting BAU approach on all sites
  • Experience within the retail industry deseired
