Doctors Direct have an new and exciting opportunity for a Consultant to work with us at
George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust in Haematology.


We are looking for a dedicated doctor ready to work in a fast-paced environment at a Trust serving more than 300,000 people across North Warwickshire, South West Leicestershire and North Coventry.

This role would be predominantly based at
George Eliot Hospital with the opportunity to work extra shifts across the Trusts' other sites and any of our partner Trusts.


George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust opened in 1948 and provides a range of elective, non-elective, surgical, medical, women's, children's, diagnostic and therapeutic services.

A full range of sexual health services across Warwickshire is also provided by the Trust.


The details of the role are:

Consultant rates: £100-£120 depending on experience


Your role will include:


  • Delivering clinical care, often for lifethreatening disease
  • Formulating chemotherapyprotocols and managing their delivery
  • Managing haematopoietic stem cell transplantation procedures
  • Providing advice on haematology laboratory results
  • Sampling the bone marrow through biopsies and interpreting the morphology under a microscope
  • Performing lumbar punctures and giving intrathecal chemotherapy
Importantly, you'll be part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides care to patients with haematological conditions. The rest of the team will includes clinical nurse specialists, pharmacists, research nurses, dieticians, and biomedical, and clinical scientists.

  • Valid GMC
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clinical attachment complete
  • Minimum of 3 months paid experience in the NHS/UK
