Looking for a Personal Assistant to support a young gentleman of 23 years who has Cerebral palsy affecting all four limbs.

He is an essential wheelchair user and is unable to sit, weight bear or stand and requires 2-1 support with hoisting and all moving and handling.

He has an interest in politics and current affairs. This takes up a lot of his spare time.

He is also on a co-production panel with Leicestershire County Council to address social care issues.

This is an adult social care engagement advisory board intended to increase the inclusion of people receiving services in new projects.


He is asked to attend a panel once a month to discuss new projects and provide constructive criticism, suggestions, and support.

He will need support to attend due to this, it could take you working "outside the considered normal working hours.

He is heavily involved in several organisations, including Social Care Future and IMPACT which require regular meetings, he enjoys being supported to take his dog for walks, occasionally goes swimming and likes to be involved in sport.

He will need to be supported by the support workers.

Support is required every Wednesday between the hours of 9:00 -3:30. Plus maybe required to work ad hock hours.

We are looking for someone who has a technical background as maybe required to support with work commitments.

Moving and Handling training is a must and will need to support with all aspects of personal care.
