About The Role:
An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen to join our Archives team as a

Cataloguing Archivist - ICS Political Collections for a 47-week (10.5 month) project due to funding from Archives Revealed, funded by The National Archives, The Pilgrim Trust and The Wolfson Foundation.


Based on the Penryn Campus, you will work in our small and enthusiastic Archives & Special Collections Team within the Student and Library Services Directorate, providing high quality services to our partners: Falmouth University and University of Exeter Penryn Campus.


You will catalogue four collections of varied paper records relating to mid-C20th politics in Cornwall, with a focus on Cornish Nationalism and comparable movements.

The post will also involve recruiting and managing a small team of volunteers and outreach activities to promote the Project.


About You:


  • Post graduate qualification in archives or other relevant field.
  • Knowledge of archive theory, standards and copyright and the legal framework of GDPR and FOI
  • Knowledge of conservations issues relevant to collections
  • Ability to supervise and motivate volunteers
  • High level of selfmotivation and the ability to work on your own initiative
