Job summary:
Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Yeovilton, near Ilchester, Somerset, is home to the Royal Navy's Wildcat Helicopter Maritime Force and the Commando Merlin Helicopter Force as well as the Army Reconnaissance Force (Wildcat helicopters).

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual to join the small gymnasium team supporting our physical training instructors.
This position is advertised at 25 hours per week (salary pro-rata).Job description:
The Gymnasium Storekeeper sits within the Executive Department of HMS HERON and is responsible for the following key areas:
- Handling telephone and online bookings and enquiries.
- Six monthly musters of physical training equipment held in the gymnasium.
- Manage issue/receipt of adventurous training equipment.
- Basic maintenance of adventurous training equipment.
- Preparation of routine laundering of official team sports strips.
- Ordering supplies as required.
Person specification:
Taking bookings for all Naval personnel for Royal Navy fitness tests - responding to telephone queries.
Handling bookings for the squash courts, gym hall a sport pitches bookings.
Issuing and returning All-Sports Equipment.
Accountable for all the equipment within the PT Store and overflow store.
Six monthly musters of all equipment within the PT Store.
Manage issue/receipt and basic maintenance of AT equipment.
Recovery of outstanding kit and equipment, highlighting any discrepancies to the CPOPT.
Preparing equipment and sports strips (including routine laundry) for Station, Fleet Air Arm and 1AAC teams.
Ensuring wipes, blue roll and spray bottles are topped up in the CV & Weights suite.
